The best cookies you'll ever have!

Last night, my mom and I decided to treat ourselves and made our family's best cookies, Mini-Chip Snowballs
This recipe is from my grandma (Mimi) and are Miss Heather's favorite!
Normally, we bake about 200 of these during Christmas time but last night, we figured, we can have a couple a little early this year. A little Halloween cookie if you will!

Ingredients
3 sticks of butter
3/4 Cup of Powdered Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
1 Tablespoon of Vanilla
3 Cups of Flour
1 Package of Semi-Sweet Mini Morsels
1/2 Cup of Finely Chopped Pecans (optional)
An Electric Mixer
One Mixing Bowl

Step One
Pre-heat your oven to 375 degrees and place your 3 sticks of butter into a mixing bowl.
Use your electric mixer to stir and soften the butter.

Step Two
Add the 3/4 cup of powdered sugar and mix well.

Step Three
Stir in the 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of vanilla and the 3 cups of flour.
Make sure you are using your electric mixer to stir everything together after each addition.

Step Four
Add the package of semi-sweet mini morsels and mix well.
If you choose to add pecans, mix them in now.

Your mix should look like this after everything has been added.

Step Five
Roll your dough into ping-pong size balls and place them onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake them in the oven for 10-12 minutes.
While your cookies are baking, prepare a bowl of powdered sugar to roll your baked cookies in.

Step Six
After baking for 10-12 minutes, remove your cookies from the oven and place them onto a cooling rack.

Step Seven
Wait 1 minute and then roll your cookie into powdered sugar and place back onto the cooling rack.

Enjoy your mini-chip snowball cookies!
Yum!
Don't mind if I do!

Oatmeal Scotchies Cookies!

It's been awhile since we've put up some food and I thought it'd be the perfect time to share one of my new favorite cookie recipes. I was looking up recipes that didn't have any chocolate involved and came across these wonderful little treats. They're really simple and quite delicious but enough talk lets get down to it!

Here's everything you'll need:
1 1/4 cups unsalted butter at room temperature
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
1 cup butterscotch chips

1. Before you get down to anything you'll need to preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
 2. Next we'll be mixing the butter, brown sugar, white sugar, egg, and vanilla extract in a bowl until well combined. Then beat in flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg,  and the rolled oats.  After you've combined everything thoroughly all that's left is to add the butterscotch chips. (You can always  substitute the butterscotch chips with chocolate chips or peanut butter chips, whatever you like!)
Here's the mix!
3. Next step is to spoon out tablespoon portions of dough onto non-stick cookie racks about 2 inches apart from each other.
They're just so good Madison tried to eat them right out of the bowl!
A good tablespoon size portion for each cookie is good.
4. All that is left is stick the racks in your preheated oven and let them bake from 8-10 minutes. If you like them a little softer you should remove them around 8 and if you like them a little crispier leave them in for the full 10. After they're done baking, pull them out and let them cool on some cooling racks for about 10-15 minutes then enjoy!

Here's our finished product! Hope you guys enjoy them as much as we did, what are some of your favorite cookie recipes? We'd love to know!
