Taylor Swift!

Last night, Miss Heather and I saw Taylor Swift in concert! EEE! It was our second time seeing her and it was amazing! If you've read our blog before, you know we have a major love for TayTay and she didn't disappoint us. She performed many of her new songs off her album "Red" as well as, a couple of old favorites like "Love Story", "Should've Said No" and "You Belong With Me". 

In addition to seeing Taylor perform, Ed Sheeran opened for her and blew my mind! He did some amazing renditions of "Give Me Love" and "You Need Me, I Don't Need You" (featuring a line of Macklemore's "Thrift Shop")!

 The Stage!

 At one point in the concert, Taylor and Ed moved to a smaller stage towards the back of the arena to perform their duet "Everything Has Changed". They were so close to us!



If you ever get a chance to see Taylor in concert we highly recommend it! She's always amazing live and puts on one hell of a show.  We can't wait until the next tour comes around!

Just for fun...

It's a hazy Thursday and just for fun I thought I would share this video of Tom Odell covering "I Knew You Were Trouble" by Taylor Swift on BBCRadio1. I found it last night on Twitter when Taylor herself tweeted how much she loved it! 

 

  Naturally, I had to check it out and Odell has put his own twist on the song. I think it could make non-Taylor fans (who are you really?) stop and listen!

"We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together"

So, yes, it's another Taylor Swift post...BUT I wanted to share with you her new music video for her most recent single, "We are Never Ever Getting Back Together".  

It premiered last night on CMT and MTV and I can't lie that I've already watched it like, 3 times...I can't help it! There are woodland creatures and everything!

Style Icon: Taylor Swift

Now, you all know that we have some serious love for TayTay so I was shocked to discover that we have yet to do a style icon post on her! I had to solve this problem immediately and therefore, our newest addition to the style icon family is Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift has won six Grammys, ten American Music Awards, seven Country Music Association Awards, six Academy of Country Music award,  is currently working on her fourth studio album "Red" out October 22, 2012 *eeee! I'm so excited!* and manages to always look great.

How does she do it? Can we be best friends please?

I seriously love everything about this outfit. The wayfarers, red lips, peter pan collar shirt tucked into black shorts and lace-up shoes.

Ah! I want her hair! Plus, I love her trademark red lips.

Summer's Almost Over!

Hey friends! So this weekend is sort of sad because this weekend marks the end of summer for Miss Heather. School picks back up on Monday and it is just not very much appreciated, like at all. Luckily Miss Mel has one more week, soak up your freedom while you still have it!
