Oatmeal Scotchies Cookies!

It's been awhile since we've put up some food and I thought it'd be the perfect time to share one of my new favorite cookie recipes. I was looking up recipes that didn't have any chocolate involved and came across these wonderful little treats. They're really simple and quite delicious but enough talk lets get down to it!

Here's everything you'll need:
1 1/4 cups unsalted butter at room temperature
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
1 cup butterscotch chips

1. Before you get down to anything you'll need to preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
 2. Next we'll be mixing the butter, brown sugar, white sugar, egg, and vanilla extract in a bowl until well combined. Then beat in flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg,  and the rolled oats.  After you've combined everything thoroughly all that's left is to add the butterscotch chips. (You can always  substitute the butterscotch chips with chocolate chips or peanut butter chips, whatever you like!)
Here's the mix!
3. Next step is to spoon out tablespoon portions of dough onto non-stick cookie racks about 2 inches apart from each other.
They're just so good Madison tried to eat them right out of the bowl!
A good tablespoon size portion for each cookie is good.
4. All that is left is stick the racks in your preheated oven and let them bake from 8-10 minutes. If you like them a little softer you should remove them around 8 and if you like them a little crispier leave them in for the full 10. After they're done baking, pull them out and let them cool on some cooling racks for about 10-15 minutes then enjoy!

Here's our finished product! Hope you guys enjoy them as much as we did, what are some of your favorite cookie recipes? We'd love to know!

Do or Don't: Twitter

Do you tweet?

A couple of months ago I got a Twitter account and this weekend I finally convinced Miss Heather to get one of her own.
When I first got my Twitter account I was a little skeptical, I had no idea how it worked or why I would even bother. However, once I got the hang of "hashtagging" and using my "@" symbol, I realized that it's fun! Now, I have found myself becoming more and more addicted to checking my Twitter and writing Tweets.
Interesting. Twitter VS Time

I like to pretend that it really does keep me more "informed" by following Anderson Cooper and CNN when, really I'm just learning about what who wore what on the red carpet thanks to E! Online and following all my favorite Real Housewives
Hah!

So, I wanted to know, do you Tweet?
Miss Heather and I would love to follow you if you do!
Leave your Twitter name in a comment!

Movies I'm Dying to See: Part 3

Hey all you movie-buffs! I was recently browsing IMDB and I found some more movie trailers I wanted to share with you! So sit down, grab a snack and get ready to want to spend $10 at the movie theater all over again.

First up, is the "The Amazing Spider-Man" starring Andrew Garfield and, the oh- so- talented,  Emma Stone. You may recognize Garfield from his role in "The Social Network" and Stone, well from pretty much every single movie last year.
"The Amazing Spider-Man" will be coming to theaters on July 3, 2012.

This second film, is well, I really have no words to describe it. It's going to be weird, crazy and f*cking awesome all at the same time. "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" is kinda a spoof but is screaming to be taken seriously. The plot is Abraham Lincoln discovers vampires are going to take over the United States and he is going to stop them. Don't ask me how and don't ask me why, all I know is that I will be in theaters to see this craziness unfold.
*For those of you familiar with the books, "Pride, Prejudice and Zombies" and "Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters," this film is based on the book, "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" and it is in the same vein. *

"Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" will be coming to theaters on June 22, 2012.

The third film I must see *cough, cough, Christian Bale* is "The Dark Knight Rises". Starring; Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Liam Neeson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Caine, It's the conclusion to the triology we have all been waiting for.

"The Dark Knight Rises" will be coming to theaters on July 20, 2012.

Lastly, is "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey". This film is based on the book "The Hobbit" by J. R. R. Tolkien and is really the beginning to "The Lord of the Rings"  by J. R. R. Tolkien books and films. Needless to say, it's going to be an exciting film with an already huge fan base.

"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" will be coming to theaters on December 14, 2012.
