For centuries, fashion girls have been experiencing with various shapes
to accent a women's body. There was the era of Marie Antoinette with
her "pannier" and Scarlet O'Hara with her hoop skirt

These styles were made to make the women wearing them stand out and yes, look much larger than they actually are. However, I do think they look elegant and I would kinda like to try something like that. If only they were in style....oh wait.
A 21st century version of this has just began exploding on the runways.
This is the year of the peplum.
