DIY: Glitter Champagne Flutes

We started crafting for our New Year's Eve party last night! The first DIY decoration we want to share with you are our glitter champagne flutes!

Perfect for toasting friends at the stroke of midnight!

Supplies:
Champagne Flutes
*we bought two sets of  plastic ones at Wal-Mart for $2.99 apiece*
ModPodge
Glitter
Paintbrush
Finishing Spray
Shoe-Box and Funnel to keep the glitter under control

Step One
Since our Champagne Flutes were plastic the bases were detachable so we could easily ModPodge and glitter them. We used our paint brush to cover the bases in ModPodge.

Step Two
Take your base and hold it over a shoebox to keep the glitter contained then pour your glitter.
You should cover your entire base and shake off any excess glitter.

Step Three
Once all of your bases have been covered with glitter and your ModPodge has dried, take them to a well-ventilated area and spray them with two coats of the finishing spray. This creates a sealant so the glitter doesn't fall off!

Step Four
Assemble your flutes and you're ready to party!

Have fun crafting!

Designed with a rough bead at the bottom called a nucleation point, flutes allow the bubbles to build-up and slowly stream to the surface. The narrow shape helps limit spillage and allows the wine's aromatics to build up giving it a better aroma or "nose."
