DIY: Scrapbook Coasters

During Miss Mel and I's time together we did what we always do and that is craft! This time I made something practical foor my home. *not that I don't normally make practical things!* I made coasters because someone has been bugging me about possible water wings on my wooden coffee table. Not naming any names or anything.

Supplies:
Scrapbook paper
Ceramic Tiles
Mod Podge
Felt *preferably the stick-on kind*
Water proof acrylic sealant

Step One:
Cut out squares of the scrapbook paper that will fit perfectly on top of the ceramic tiles.

Step Two:
Spread a thin layer of Mod Podge onto the top of the tile. Then lay your scrapbook paper square on top of that and follow up with another thin layer of  Mod Podge on top of that.

Step Three:
Wait until the Mod Podge has completely dried before you do this next step. You'll cut out little squares, four for each coaster, of the felt. If you got the kind that has the sticker on one end then you'll just feel the sticker and place the felt on each corner of the bottom side of the tiles. If you didn't get the sticker kind then you'll need to glue the felt on in the same manner.

Step Four:
All that is left is to spray your tiles with the water repellent. I did about three coats, waiting for the tiles to dry between each coat.

Here was the end result!

I love these and they were super inexpensive! Hope you guys love them as well!
