Face
To add a little variety, I'll sometimes throw a couple of my favorite NARS products in there. This product features NARS award-winning blush color "Orgasm" in a compact-duo with "Laguna" bronzer. This duo has a profound effect on making someone go from ghost pale to looking like they've been laying out on a beach for 48-hrs. That being said, make sure when applying to put "Laguna" across your chest, neck and back to ensure you don't have a noticeable make-up line.
Eyes
Before applying ANY eye make-up it's crucial to use a primer first. Primer ensures your eye-color lasting all night long, even through a long night of drinking and dancing (trust me, I've tested this theory)! The best primer I've ever used is called Eyeshadow Primer Potion from Urban Decay.
Next step, eyeshadow. Recently, I've become addicted to using a eye compact from Bare Minerals. Varying in themes, this compact comes with four colors intended to be used all together. I purchased "After Party" and have been able to successfully create the perfect smoky eye (it even comes with step-by-step directions on how to do so).
Third step, eyeliner. Eyeliner can be a fickle mistress. Use too much and you can look like a five-dollar hooker or use the wrong color and you can end up looking like an alien. To apply eyeliner correctly takes practice. For me, it took applying it in the bathroom with my hand on the counter to provide a stable base. These two eyeliners are like a dream come true for me because they go on smoothly instead of continuously stabbing yourself in the eye with a hard pencil. My first selection is the 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil which I have in numerous colors like; zero, underground, rockstar, gunmetal and bourbon (as you can see, I REALLY like this eyeliner). Another option is the Penultimate eye liner by MAC slides on like, wait for it, a pen. Therefore, making it really simple for creating a perfect cat-eye (see picture above).
Lastly, comes the mascara. Mascara is pretty self-explanatory but using a eye-lash curler can make all the difference! My favorite mascara's are DiorShow (worth the $24!) and Lashblast (definitely the cheaper option but still gives awesome results) by CoverGirl.
Lips
If you wanna be bold, I would suggest trying a red lipstick, lipstain or lipgloss. Red lips makes teeth look whiter and just brightens your face up in general, so I say go for it! A couple of red lip products that I swear by are CoverGirl's Outlast Lipstain in "Scarlet Pucker", NARS Velvet Matte Lip-Pencil in "Cruella" and Revlon's ColorStay Overtime in "Ultimate Wine".
Now, go have fun!
