"Game of Thrones"

Have you heard of the book and now HBO television series "Game of Thrones"?

"Game of Thrones" book cover on the left and television series promo on the right.

"Game of Thrones" the television series is based on a series of epic fantasy novels written by George R. R. Martin, truly titled "A Song of Ice and Fire". These novels bring you into a completely new world filled with characters you will equally love and hate. There are kings, queens, dragons, warfare, you name it. The first novel and first season revolve around three story lines all told from different points of view and eventually become entangled with one another. There's the looming war for the control of Westeros (a fictional land), the threat of creatures called "the Others" a type of living-dead, and my favorite character, Daenerys Targaryen, a fifteen-year-old girl who is one of two living descendants of the previous king and is fighting her way back to the throne.

Both the television series and novels are attention grabbing and therefore, make it impossible to stop wanting more. I'm currently on the second book and I plan on watching the second season on HBO!

You can get yourself a copy of the books at any bookstore or Amazon and you can catch "Game of Thrones" on HBO on Sunday nights. The second season just started last night!

Enjoy reading and watching!
